This page explains the various checks and attributes of a CheckMEND report.

Search Term: This is the alphanumeric term you searched.

Item Make: This is the make of item that we have on record with this alphanumeric term.

Item Type: This is the type of item we have on record with this alphanumeric term.

Item Model: This is the model of this item we have on record with this alphanumeric search term.

Reported stolen: This is the information we have on record for this alphanumeric search term relating to this make, model and item type.

Reported lost: This is the information we have on record for this alphanumeric search term relating to this make, model and item type.

Insurance claim for damage: This is the information we have on record for this alphanumeric search term relating to this make, model and item type.

Insurance claim for theft: This is the information we have on record for this alphanumeric search term relating to this make, model and item type.

Previous owner(s): This is the information we have on record for this alphanumeric search term relating to this make, model and item type.

Approximate trade-in value: This data is taken from a range of second hand goods dealers, recyclers and auction site and is intended as a guide only.

Barred for international use: This indicates if an item has been barred from use by a service provider either in its home country or abroad, this is usually relevant to cell phones.

Previously recycled: This indicates if an item has been handed into a recycler, and as a result may have been refurbished or reassembled.

Warranty claims: This indicates if an item has had a claim made under its warranty, this may be for repair or other issues.

Known counterfeit: If the search term is a known term used on counterfeit products of the type indicated it will be displayed here.

Known clone: If the search term is known to be used on cloned items of the item type shown, i.e. they may not be counterfeit but have had their identity changed in order to hide their dubious history, it will be indicated here.

Any known ownership disputes: If an item has been subject to an insurance claim in many cases the insurer has legal title to the item, if this or any other case of disputed ownership is known to it will be displayed here.
